Well, as it turns out, Emma didn't get to spend alone time with Mom except while we were in the hospital. we spent Friday night in Fairfax Hospital while a big snowstorm swirled around outside. Our very good friend, Rickey, came to pick us up in white out conditions - you could not see a THING. Pretty scarey - but for a southern boy, he sure knows how to drive in the snow.
The snow on Friday caused school to be cancelled for the following week, bummer. But we made the best of it baking cookies and relaxing between playing in the snow. Emma didn't complain about having to share Mom, but she did complain about not being able to go sledding. "Dr. Fetter only said I couldn't jump around - he didn't say anything about sledding!"
She is recovering well - the worst part was coming out of anesthesia after being under 6.5 hours. The best part was all the presents she got from her family and friends :). Can you believe that this little bear was delivered with a fruit basket at the height of the snowstorm? I should have asked the delivery boy to bring us some milk!
She loved the bear - it looked just like her with the bandage on the same side and everything. Thank you Grace and Vicki!

TA and Emma's surgery
Per normal Glass family style, we won't start our blog off waiting and waiting, we'll just jump in with both feet!
We received our Travel Approval yesterday for David and Leah!! We have tentative dates to travel from January 19th (Kevin's 8th birthday) to February 5th (yes...that's a LONG time).
Lots going on between now and then, but I'm sure by the time January 19th arrives we'll be more than ready to go. We hope David and Leah are ready for all the changes coming up for them too.
Emma is having surgery right now - to repair her eardrum. It's anticipated that she will have to stay overnight. Hoping that she comes through with flying colors and isn't in too much pain afterwards! Then we get to focus on the fun of Christmas. She will be home from school with me and is looking forward to alone time with Mom.
Won't be long and she'll have to share us with two more siblings!
